Plurals -s

We use the article "a" with words that begin with a consonant, for example book and toy
- a pencil
- a window

We use the article "an" with words that begin with a vowel, (a, e, l, 0 , u), for example apple and orange
- an apple
- an octopus

To make the plural of most nouns we add "-s" at the end of the word
- a toy
- two toys
* an animal
* three animals
